Terms of service
Last updated: TO CONFIRM: publish date
1. Who these terms are with
These terms are between you and Free Parameter LLC ("we", "us"), the maker of Cadnat. They cover this website, Cadnat subscriptions (Pro, Builder and any later plans), setup kits, updates and support (together, the "Services").
2. The software license
Cadnat, including the desktop app, the Cadnat Plans server and the Cadnat Plans Android app, is proprietary software, © 2026 Free Parameter LLC. All rights reserved. The software is licensed to you, not sold. The Community license lets you use the desktop app at no cost; Pro and Builder are paid licenses that add the Services. Your right to use the software comes from the license for your plan TO CONFIRM: end-user license agreement. Except as that license or the law allows, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent or reverse engineer the software, or remove its notices.
Cadnat generators are open source (coming soon). When published, they come under the license stated in their own repository, and nothing in these terms limits the rights that license gives you.
3. Subscriptions and billing
- Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe, and renew automatically until you cancel.
- You can cancel any time through the Stripe customer portal or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds: if the Services do not work for you, email us within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund TO CONFIRM: refund policy (PROPOSED). Otherwise, payments are not refundable except where the law requires.
- Prices may change. We will tell you at least 30 days before a price change affects your renewal.
- Prices exclude taxes unless stated. Stripe may collect sales tax or VAT where required.
4. Plan limits
Each plan includes the number of paired phones and the support level shown on the pricing page at the time you subscribe. The plan server has built-in safety limits (for example one job at a time and a daily job cap) that apply to every plan.
5. Your responsibilities as a professional
Cadnat is drafting software. It is not engineering, architectural or permitting services, and drawings it produces are not stamped or approved by anyone. Generator defaults and code-based values are starting points. You are responsible for checking every drawing, dimension, load, span and detail against the codes and conditions of your project and jurisdiction, and for involving a licensed professional where required.
6. Your content
Your drawings, prompts, parameters, logos and files are yours. Because Cadnat runs on your machines, we do not receive them unless you send them to us, for example in a support email. You give us permission to use what you send only to help you.
7. Third-party services and bring your own model
Cadnat can work with services that we do not run, for example an AI model hosted by a third party that you connect yourself ("bring your own model"), networking you use to link your phone and PC, and public map services. When you use them, the text of your requests and any other data you choose to send go to that provider under its own terms, privacy policy and billing, and under your own account with it.
We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content, output, availability, security, charges or handling of your data. Our statement that your drawings stay off the cloud applies to Cadnat itself and is subject to the exclusions listed in the Privacy policy.
8. Acceptable use
Do not use the Services to break the law, to infringe others' rights, or to attack or overload our systems. Do not share your APK or pairing secrets; they are credentials for your own plan server.
9. Setup kits and support
We aim to meet the response targets listed for your plan. Targets are goals, not guarantees. Support covers installing and using Cadnat and Cadnat Plans; it does not include drafting or design work for your projects unless we agree to it in writing.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Cadnat software and the Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Free Parameter LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or business, arising from the Services or from drawings produced with Cadnat. Our total liability for any claim about the Services is limited to the amount you paid us for the Services in the 12 months before the claim.
Free Parameter LLC is not liable for any loss or damage caused by a third-party service, including a hosted AI model you connect (bring your own model), or by data you send to one. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.
12. Ending the Services
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or end Services for a serious breach of these terms, with notice where practical. Your drawings and files stay yours either way.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of TO CONFIRM: state, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in TO CONFIRM: county and state have jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
14. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and, for material changes, email active subscribers before they take effect. Questions: hello@cadnat.com.
